On June 11, 2018, my oldest daughters attended their first “real” concert. Harry Styles, formerly of One Direction, was a near sold out show and we sat in section 107, Row K (pretty awesome seats). Harry Styles is the equivalent of my generations New Kids on The Block or New Edition and Jordan Knight or Bobby Brown going on a solo tour.
With an average age of 14.75, the pre-concert sing along to Bohemian Rhapsody led me to believe this would be a great show….and Mr. Styles did not disappoint this 45-year-old dad nor his squealing, high pitched fans, especially the two that came with me. They will remember this show the rest of their lives and talk, but more importantly, the memories with Dad will live forever and most likely be discussed long after I am gone.
